School of business participates in the Inaugural sports day at the University of Nairobi sports ground

The School of Business led by Mr.Francis Kivindu who was the team leader participated in the University sports Day.Among the best perfomance were the ladies who became runners up in the Tag of War ladies category


The University of Nairobi community composed of staff and students participated in the inaugural sports day at the University of Nairobi sports grounds. The event which was attended by among others, Mr. Haron Komen, Sports Director from the Ministry of Sports was held on February, 28, 2018.



Speaking during the event, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi, observed that the University of Nairobi is a power house in academics and sports. The College of Education and External Studies, CEES, continue to lead in physical education training of teachers. He urged the government and policy makers to put in more efforts to nurture sports in the country by putting up more sports academies. In the recent past, the University of Nairobi took over the management of Koitatel University College and they were challenged to develop sports related courses in the college.
