Dr Damary Sikalieh School of Business

Dr Damary Sikalieh is a PhD graduate in entrepreneurship education and human resource development at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA, in the Department of Human Resource Education. As a university professor, she teaches Management and Business courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. She supervises graduate students’ research projects. Other than teaching with cases, she has written and published several teaching cases. She has experience in Research, Curriculum Development, Teaching, Business and student counseling, Career Development, Program Evaluation, and recently, Environmental Management. She serves as an external examiner to several universities in the East African Region as well as North West University, Mafikeng Campus, South Africa.

With regard to administration, she has served as a Coordinator of several programs in the Chandaria School of Business and is currently serving as the Associate Dean. Her duties include ensuring educational effectiveness through program Assessment and Review, New Program Development, attending to faculty, visitors and parents, working on Partnerships and collaborations. In addition, she has served as a Research and a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Human Resource Education at the University of Illinois, Urban-Champaign, USA. She has been able with colleagues to engage in grant funded research. Her research interests are in the broader areas of management (organizational behavior and organizational development) and entrepreneurship (social and commercial entrepreneurship (women and youth). A recent interest development is in the area of Growing Inclusive Markets, Educational Effectiveness/Quality assurance and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Regarding consultancy work, she has been involved in training and research consultancies with several organizations. She has attended as many conferences, presented and published papers. She was a panel speaker at the European Forum for Management Education (EFMD) 2012 conference and is a member of the African Management Initiative.
