University of Nairobi, Faculty of Business is working on a collaboration with Nelson Mandela University, South Africa. This was revealed when a delegation of PhD students paid a courtesy call to Prof. Njihia the Dean, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences on 14th of September 2023.

 

The agenda being ; building upon prior discussions and paving the way for an exciting academic partnership.

Prof. Njihia James Muranga, commended Prof. Awino's exceptional efforts in fostering the partnership between the two universities. He acknowledged the commitment of the delegates and highlighted the value this engagement will add to promote research work. He urged the delegates to be outstanding ambassadors in South Africa and encouraged them to establish lasting connections for future academic and professional endeavors.

Prof. Z.B Awino shared valuable insights into similar academic initiatives, highlighting past cohorts of students who have undertaken transformative journeys to renowned institutions worldwide. The latest cohort is gearing up to venture to NMU.

Lydia Nyaboe delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the significance of the partnership between the University of Nairobi and NMU. She elaborated on the symposium's objectives, the proposed program during the delegation's visit to NMU, and the specific topics each delegate will cover in their presentations.

Dr. Florence Muhindi, Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration, expressed her gratitude to Prof. Awino and the delegates for their dedication to this initiative. She emphasized how this collaboration aligns with UoN's vision and mission, enhances global visibility, and underscores the strategic importance of UoN's partnership with NMU.
