The School of Business Department of Finance and Accounting is having half-day workshop hosted by the University of Nairobi, School of Business on 16th September, 2016 at the University of Nairobi, Lower Kabete Campus.  The workshop that starts at 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. is jointly organized by the University of New Castle, Plymouth University, UK, and the University of Nairobi, School of Business.

This workshop is a follow up of recommendations made by a concluded collaborative research project between the University of Nairobi and Plymouth University, UK, that was sponsored by the UK Department for International Development and was conducted between 2012 and 2013, to explore opportunities for building capacity for Entrepreneurship Education within East Africa whose recommendations include the establishment of an Entrepreneurship Educator’s Network.

The activities during the workshop will include:

  1. Sharing best practices in entrepreneurship education.
  2. Exploring opportunities for collaborative programmes/ projects to develop the entrepreneurial capabilities.
  3. Translating the collaborative ideas into the proposed entrepreneurship educators’ network.

The workshop will draw participants from Kenya Government policy makers, donor community, public academic and training institutions, student community, and from other stakeholders in entrepreneurship development.

The workshop programme has been devised to be highly participative and to generate a deep understanding of the need for collaboration in entrepreneurship education capacity enhancement.
