On 7thNovember 2017 the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi chaired the School of Business meeting held in education building conference hall. This was part of the vice chancellor visit to Colleges and Schools. The School of Business celebrated the success of the programs.
Principal CHSS, Prof.Njeru
The Principal College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Enos Njeru invited the Vice Chancellor’s team to the College. The Deputy Principal, Prof. Kobonyo noted that the School of Business introduced new programs that are doing well such as Finance, Management Science and Executive programs. He added that every year the school of business produces over 3000 graduates.

On his address, the Vice-chancellor recognized the first-rate performance exhibited by the School of Business as ranked highly in the region. He commended the college for the lead in creativity and urged the College to sell the idea of Huduma Centre to other Colleges. The VC said that the university has lost 700 billion due to environmental impact and urged the Colleges, Schools, and Departments to work hard as a team to overcome the common challenge financially and security challenges for intellectual work- the work we produce, intellectual property and day to day activities to appreciate teaching and learning for the academic growth.
The VC urged the Schools and Departments to concentrate on student’s affairs and mentorship, talk about growth challenges and opportunities. He told the administrative to observe policies and be courageous, with this kind of respect the university will grow.
