The Kühne Logistics University (KLU) in collaboration with University of Nairobi, University of Dar El Salaam (UDBS), and Kühne Foundation (KF) are organizing a three-week summer school on sustainability. The summer school will be held at KLU in Hamburg, Germany from 27th June-15th July 2022. This training will enhance learning and knowledge sharing on sustainability discourse along the triple-bottom line (financial, social, environmental) which is a general prerequisite for managing modern issues that affect companies and for addressing stakeholder demands for better sustainability measurement and reporting. Participants will engage in intellectually motivating discussions and learn from professors and experts how businesses are affecting the environment and society. They will also acquire new paradigms, theoretical concepts, skills and tools on sustainable business management and operations to become powerful drivers of sustainable change.
Who can apply?
One can apply if they meet the following criteria
- Current 2nd or 3rd year Bachelor students pursuing a degree in the fields of Business Administration, Economics, Bachelor of Commerce, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management
- Outstanding academic performance as demonstrated by grades attained for the completed units/courses
- Willing and able to make arrangements for the required travel documents including visa application and COVID-19 tests if needed
- Physical availability between June 27 - July 15, 2022 in order to take part in the Summer School at KLU in Hamburg, Germany.
