These are some of the prominent alumni who have graduated from the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences:

Mr. Eliud Owalo is a renowned, economist, management consultant and strategy professional currently managing Eliud & Associates (E&A) Management Consultants, an International management consulting and training firm. Eliud holds a Masters of Business Administration- Human Resources degree from the University of Nairobi in 2020. He is also currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Management at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences-University of Nairobi.

Mr. Owalo has a vast experience spanning over 20 years as an Economist, Management Consultant and Strategy Expert with Core-Competency in Macro and Micro-Economics; Strategic Planning and Business Planning, among others.

 In the area of Strategic Planning, Mr. Owalo has designed and reviewed Policy Documents at Sectoral; National; Regional and Global levels. Mr. Owalo is involved in the Kenya Vision 2030, EAC vision 2050 and the National Big Four (4) Development Agenda.

Hon. Wilberforce Kitiezo

Hon. Wilberforce Kitiezo is the current Deputy Governor – Vihiga County. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi. Hon Kitiezo has a wealth of experience in County Administration, he served as a Member of County Assembly for Lugaga/Wamuluma Ward (2013-2017) and as a councillor in in the defunct Vihiga Municipal Council (2008 – 2012)

Hon. Philomena Bineah Kapkory

Hon. Philomena  is the Trans-Nzoia County’s Deputy Governor. Hon. Philomena is a renowned expert in the Banking industry and Monitoring and Evaluation. She graduated with a Masters of Arts Degree in Project planning and Management from the University of Nairobi in 2018. She is also currently pursuing a PhD. Degree in Project Planning and Management at the same institution.
