The world has changed a great deal and significant changes are happening with the evolution of artificial intelligence. One group of people are likely to benefit the most are Marketers. They have the ability to reach clients across the globe with the click of a button.

 

Speaking at the Faculty of Business, University of Nairobi on January, 27 2026, Prof. Dimitar Jovevski, from Ss. Cyril & Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia, opined that he has been able to transform many businesses in his home country. “Companies implementing AI are seeing 451% increase in leads.

Prof. Dimitar noted that with the increasing use of AI among digital marketers, content writers may be replaced in the near future. He noted that AI in marketing is valued at $15 Billion and is projected to reach $107 Billion in 2028.

Among the tools marketer use in their digital marketing campaigns include ChatGPT, Perplexy, CoPilot, Gemini, MidJourney, DALLE, Adobe Firefly, Nano Banana, Lovable, Gamma, Kapwing, Sythesia, Manus among others.

On her part, Prof. Katrina Toshvska, also from Ss. Cyril & Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia highlighted the numerous challenges faced by the business community when they try to expand their businesses across the globe. She pointed out the importance of digital and sustainable trade facilitation and numerous efforts being made by World Trade Organization to help millions of businesses scale globally. 

Currently, those in the export and import of goods have to deal with about 27 – 30 operators and this makes the whole global trade a big challenge. She pointed out that digital trade facilitation is supposed to increase trade volumes. It is also supposed to help with digitalized and automation of the custom procedures.

Prof. Kennedy Ogollah, Dean, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences revealed that the University of Nairobi is considering having Artificial Intelligence as a common unit taught to all students. This will equip students with the skills needed in the 21st century, such skills as AI, robotics, blockchain, internet of things, data science among others.
