On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences welcomed its first-year students during an orientation programme led by the Dean, Prof. Ogola, alongside Chairpersons of the various departments and heads of key co-curricular and support services, including the Library and Sports. The orientation ceremony was held at the New Lecture Theatre at the Lower Kabete Campus.
The students were taken through what to expect during their time at the University of Nairobi, with emphasis on making the most of the academic, professional and co-curricular opportunities available to them.
In his address, the Dean congratulated the students on securing admission to the prestigious University of Nairobi and encouraged them to remain focused and committed to their studies. He urged them to take advantage of the resources and opportunities available within the University to enhance their academic and personal development.
The orientation also introduced students to the various departments within the Faculty, library services, professional bodies, sporting and recreational facilities, as well as other support services designed to enrich their university experience.
The session provided an important platform for the freshmen to interact with Faculty leadership, gain a better understanding of university life and begin their journey as confident and engaged members of the University of Nairobi community.
