First Years have been warned of the dangers of engaging in risky sexual behaviours. The sensitization event happened at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences organized by the office of Dean of Students. 

 

Stanley Ngara, also nicknamed the King of Condoms was the guest during the sensitization event. Students were  challenged to stay away from risky sexual behaviours that could be dangerous to their academic endeavours. "For those who must engage in sex, please use a condom," said Stanley Ngare.

Some of the dangers of risky sexual behaviours highlighted during the event include : getting HIV/AIDS, unwanted pregnancy, getting other sexually transmitted infections like syphilis, gonorrhoeae, among others. Mr. Ngare highlighted that in some cases, children could be born blind due to sexually transmitted infections. 

During the two hour event, students were urged to practice sexual purity. Take care of their sexual health, engage in sports  and other extra curriculum activities. Avoid engaging in alcohol and drug abuse. " Dont let alcohol and drugs steal your life", said Assistant Dean of Students, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences.
