In 2020, the Government of Kenya committed to implementing various nationwide projects through Ministries, Department, and Agencies (MDA) to promote national values and principles of governance. The University of Nairobi is one of the state agents heavily involved in the implementation of these projects and has held various activities to fulfill the set commitments.

In December 2021, the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences embarked on a Tree planting exercise at the Lower Kabete Campus where staff and students planted more than 150 tree seedlings to add to the impressive tree coverage at the campus. The activity was organized in support of the government’s commitment to implement measures to protect the environment, mitigate climate change and improve the national forest cover. The Faculty continues to put up various measures to ensure strict adherence to Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines and protocols as well as use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and other innovations to deliver service to the people.
