Prof. Barbara Moser-Mercer from the University of Geneva is currently visiting the Centre for Translation and Interpretation (from July 23rd to August 2nd, 2013) to give lectures and practical sessions to M.A. Interpreting students.
Field-class is an annual event for all third year geography and environmental studies students. The 2013 BA III field-class took place in Nanyuki County and its environs between 9th July and 13th July, 2013. The theme of the field-class was “Harnessing natural resources for ecological integrity, sustainable livelihoods and food security in Laikipia County and its Environs”.
Two more postgraduate students from the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies benefited from a one-semester exchange programme to the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland. These are Michael Kaelo and Belinda Omungu (middle two in photo). According to Michael and Belinda, “the North-South-South exchange programme was an eye opener and a priceless experience for us.
