The Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, University of Nairobi is in talks with Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship on potential areas of collaboration.

 

The potential areas of collaboration highlighted during the meeting include: students and staff exchange programs, joint research and publications, joint conferences between the two Faculties.

 Going forward the two Faculties will do a Memorandum of Understanding that will guide their collaboration. The MoUs will be signed and witnessed by the Vice Chancellor, University of Nairobi.

University of Nairobi and more so the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences has been keen on doing research and forming working partnerships with various organizations both within Kenya and beyond. Some of the collaborations highlighted during the meeting include MoUs signed between the Faculty and County Government of Embu.

Speaking during the event, Prof. Cyrus Iraya, who represented the Dean, opined that the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences and more so the University of Nairobi is a proud of its huge alumni base. He pointed out that many cabinet secretaries, captains of industry are former students of the Faculty.  

 

Speaking during the meeting,  Prof. Zonara Nikitovic, PhD, from Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship, Serbia pointed out that their Faculty is keen on mentorship of high school students in Belgrade. “ We are keen on mentorship and innovation”, she pointed out. She invited the Faculty staff members to their annual conference in Belgrade, Serbia. The observed that the students are highly encouraged to attend and they have the opportunity of getting Erasmus+ sponsorship. The program enables students to experience various countries in Europe.
