The University of Nairobi Chancellor Prof. Patrick V. Verkooijen stated that with the Big 5 agenda, the university is empowering graduates to lead in health, artificial intelligence, innovation, and next-gen jobs. “We are not waiting, we are MOVING. This is your launchpad. The future is yours to create”, he said.
Speaking during the event, Prof. Mojtaba Salem from Center for Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development demonstrated how various AI tools can be very useful and efficient in doing academic research.
“AI tools to automate research outflow,” he said.
Among the AI tools discussed during the seminar include : Chatgpt, Grammarly, Gemini, Perplexity, Scispce, Invideo, Consensus, Bing, Claude, Youcom, Elicit among others.

He observed that scholarship is formed by research and it’s only by scholars publishing their research findings and sharing the knowledge with the general public that their findings could benefit the society at large.
Mr Owalo urged Scholars to publish more and to share their research findings for the betterment of the society.
