Kenya Railways and Faculty of Business and Management Sciences Collaboration.

The two organizations are discussing ways of having a joint working arrangement, where they will be collaborating together and working towards helping each other achieve their goals. 

The Faculty of Business and Management Sciences is endowed with intellectual resources and is very ready to assist the Kenya Railways in the areas of training and capacity building. On the other hand , Kenya railways has the opportunity to offer students jobs, internships and attachments. 

Tree Planting by Kingdom Bank Staff at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences.

 

Staff from Kingdom Bank, Wangige Branch, led by the Branch Manager, Victoria Mwangi  led University of Nairobi , Faculty of Business and Management Sciences in planting 1,000 trees at Lower Kabete Campus.

Speaking during the tree planting exercise, Ms Veronica opined that they have several youth programs at the Bank and they are ready to engage our students anytime they are called upon. “Anytime you call us, we shall come. We have sponsored many sports events before,” she said.

Collaboration with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT)

 

The MoU will guide the two universities in bringing together their academic experts in joint research, proposal writing, and joint conferences and seminars among others.

 Leading the RMIT side,  Prof. Colin Picker , Deputy Vice Chancellor,  said that the collaboration will be based on joint research with faculty members, student and staff exchange programs which promotes international experience for the students.

Speaking during the event, the Dean, Prof. Kennedy Ogollah, pointed out that at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences,  “ Our work is research, teaching and learning, community service and commercialization of research.  Inside the challenges we see opportunities. This collaboration fits with our vision which is to aspire to be globally competitive university, transforming the society both locally and globally, “ he said.
