The Faculty of Business and Management Sciences (FOBMS), University of Nairobi, recently had the honour of hosting a delegation from Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark as part of the ongoing collaboration under the Danida-funded Knowledge and Innovation Programme – Africa, Business and Society (KIP-ABS).
Copenhagen Business School Delegation Visits FOBMS to Strengthen Global Partnership
The Faculty of Business and Management Sciences (FOBMS), University of Nairobi, recently had the honour of hosting a delegation from Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark as part of the ongoing collaboration under the Danida-funded Knowledge and Innovation Programme – Africa, Business and Society (KIP-ABS).
Partners are: University of Ghana Business School- Ghana, University of Nairobi-Kenya, University of Johannesburg-S.A, Copenhagen Business School- Denmark
The delegation met with the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Kennedy Ogollah and members of the ABS project team, including Lydiah Zachary, to discuss the rollout of the partnership and explore opportunities for deepening collaboration between the two institutions.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the KIP-ABS programme, which supports scholarships for African students to pursue the Business and the Global South Master’s Programme at CBS, as well as broader academic and institutional collaboration.
Key areas of discussion included:
- Scholarship opportunities and student recruitment pathways
- Staff and student mobility under potential Erasmus partnerships
- Joint research and publication opportunities
- Future faculty exchanges and collaborative teaching
- Strengthening global academic and industry engagement
This visit marks an important milestone in strengthening the University of Nairobi’s international partnerships and positioning the Faculty as a key contributor to global business education and research.
FOBMS looks forward to building a long-term partnership with Copenhagen Business School that will create new opportunities for students, faculty, and collaborative research addressing global and African development challenges.
