July 16, 2020 saw more than three hundred people attend a Zoom conference on Nationalism and Globalization convened by the Institute for Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS) in conjunction with the Horn Institute for Strategic Studies.

The Conference themed, “Retreat to Nationalism in the 21st Century Globalization: Lessons for Africa from COVID-19” brought together students, scholars and industry experts from different parts of the world.

Prof. Attiya Waris has been appointed Ag. Deputy Principal CHSS.

Prof Warris formerly worked as Director of Research and Enterprises. She holds a PhD in Law and is a specialist in Fiscal Law, Policy and Development. She is an advocate, company secretary and arbitrator of 20 years standing.

Prof. Warris takes over position of deputy principal following the elevation of Prof. Mohamud Jama to Principal CHSS.

Prof. Enos Njeru has been appointed Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor Human Resource and Administration.

Prof. Njeru who was in his second term as Principal College of Humanities and Social Sciences takes over position of DVC HRA which was previously held by Vice Chancellor Prof.  Stephen Kiama.

Prof. Mohamud Jama has been appointed acting Principal, College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Until his appointment, Prof. Jama has been working at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences  as deputy Principal in charge of main Campus.

Prof. Jama takes over CHSS following former principal Prof. Enos Njeru’s elevation to Deputy Vice Chancelor in charge of Human resource and Administration.
